Titanium Grade 12 (WPT12) Butt-Weld Elbows, Tees, Reducers, Caps and Stub Ends to ASTM B363
Dinesh Tube India supplies and exports titanium Grade 12 pipe fittings from Mumbai for desalination, salt, chlor-alkali and chemical piping in India and abroad. Grade 12 (UNS R53400, Werkstoff 3.7105) fittings are made to ASTM B363 / ASME SB363, marked WPT12 (seamless) or WPT12W (welded), with dimensions to ASME B16.9, and supplied with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates.
Grade 12 (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni) resists crevice corrosion in hot chloride brines far better than Grade 2 and is about 40% stronger, at lower cost than Grade 7. Elbows, tees and reducers are where turbulence, deposits and crevices concentrate attack, so the fittings should match the Grade 12 pipe they join. How Grade 12 Fittings Are Marked
ASTM B363 fittings carry the grade symbol with a "W" suffix when they are made from welded material or contain welds:
A typical marking reads: maker's mark, ASTM B363 WPT12, size and schedule (for example 4" SCH 10S) and heat number.

Why Use Grade 12 Fittings?

WPT12 is stronger and lower cost and suits most hot-brine and desalination service. WPT7 (Grade 7, with palladium) is better in strongly reducing acids. Match the fitting grade to the pipe grade.
