IBR Certified Boiler, Superheater & Economiser Tubes
Dinesh Tube India supplies IBR tubes (tubes certified under the Indian Boiler Regulations) from Mumbai to boiler makers, re-tubing contractors, sugar mills, power plants and process industries across India. We supply carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel IBR approved tubes, seamless and ERW, cut to length with IBR Form III-B and the mill test certificate.
IBR is a certification, not a tube grade. This page explains what IBR certification of tubes involves and which grades we supply with it. For which grade to use in each part of a boiler, see our boiler tubes guide; for pipes, see IBR pipes (Form III-A).
What Is an IBR Tube?
An IBR tube is a steel tube made, tested and certified to meet the Indian Boiler Regulations, 1950 (IBR), so it can be used in boilers, superheaters, economisers and other pressure parts registered in India. The tube itself is made to a recognised standard, such as ASME SA192, SA210 or SA213, and is then inspected and certified on IBR Form III-B, the Certificate of Manufacture and Test for tubes.
The Boiler Inspector checks this certificate before a boiler is registered, repaired or re-tubed. A tube of the right grade but without Form III-B cannot be used where IBR applies, which is why IBR certification must be stated on the order.

IBR Tube Grades & Typical Uses
Typical selections only. The boiler designer chooses the grade from metal temperature, pressure and the IBR design rules.
What the IBR Form III-B Certificate Covers
Form III-B is the IBR Certificate of Manufacture and Test for tubes, the counterpart of Form III-A for IBR pipes. It records:
